On January 31, 2026, Dongfeng Motor held a media briefing in Beijing. Under the strategic coordination of "One Dongfeng," leaders from the group and its various business units reviewed the achievements of 2025 and outlined future plans.
As Dongfeng's strategic pillar in the southern region, Lin Changbo, General Manager of Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor Co., Ltd., articulated the company's strategic goals for the "15th Five-Year Plan" period (2026–2030) at the meeting: annual sales of 70,000 commercial vehicles and 250,000 passenger vehicles—the "725 Dual Leadership" target—with the ambition to reach 155,000 overseas sales by 2030, effectively "building another Dongfeng Liuzhou overseas."

2025: Sales Growth of 22.2%, Overseas Markets Continue to Rise
Looking back at 2025, competition in China's automotive market was fiercer than ever. Lin Changbo noted that despite the complex external environment, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor, guided by Dongfeng Group's strategic framework of "Three Leaps, One Renewal," achieved sales growth that outpaced the industry average.
According to data, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's total terminal sales in 2025 reached 147,600 units, a year-on-year increase of 22.2%. This growth was driven by both commercial and passenger vehicle segments working in synergy: passenger vehicle sales reached 96,500 units, up 13.5% year-on-year, stabilizing the core business; commercial vehicle sales exceeded 50,000 units, surging 42.9% year-on-year, demonstrating a strong rebound.
Overseas performance was particularly impressive. In 2025, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor's exports surpassed 53,000 units, maintaining rapid growth for five consecutive years. Notably, commercial vehicle exports exceeded 10,000 units for the first time, signaling that its strategic positioning of "based in Liuzhou, reaching across China, and expanding globally" is accelerating.
"In an era of stock-market competition, relying solely on price cuts to drive sales is no longer sustainable," Lin Changbo said. He emphasized that the achievements of 2025 validated the company's effectiveness in product structure adjustment and green transformation, with the leapfrog growth in the new energy commercial vehicle sector in particular building confidence for future development.
The "15th Five-Year Plan" Goal: Anchoring the "725 Dual Leadership"
Entering the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor has set more specific quantitative targets with its core "725 Dual Leadership" strategy. Lin Changbo explained: "'7' represents the goal of reaching 70,000 commercial vehicle sales, consolidating our leadership position in the southern market; '25' represents the goal of advancing toward 250,000 passenger vehicle sales, aiming to rank second in the independent MPV market while maintaining leadership in the affordable MPV segment."
To achieve these targets, product launches will be significantly accelerated.
In the passenger vehicle segment, the company plans to introduce over 25 new models during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period, including 9 all-new models and more than 16 facelifts, covering MPV, SUV, and sedan markets.

In the commercial vehicle segment, more than 11 new products will be launched. Facing the critical period of energy transition, Liuzhou Motor has adopted a strategy of "stabilizing the foundation and accelerating iteration": rapidly iterating in the conventional energy market to solidify its base, while building a unified architecture covering pure electric, hybrid, and hydrogen power in the new energy market, with a focus on developing the Yiwei 2, 3, 5, and 7 series to capture technological high ground.
Technology Backbone: "One New, Three Extremes" and Supply Chain Resilience
As industry competition shifts from "price wars" to "technology wars," technological strength has become the key to long-term development.
In the passenger vehicle segment, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor is focusing on "One New, Three Extremes"—taking new energy as the main track while building three technological advantages: "extreme spaciousness, extreme energy efficiency, and extreme cost-performance," directly addressing mainstream consumer pain points.
In the commercial vehicle segment, the company is deepening its "One Base, Three Transformations" approach—leveraging multi-energy technology as the foundation while advancing lightweighting, energy efficiency, and intelligence. Lin Changbo stated that the company will deepen synergies with Dongfeng Group to promote platform development featuring "one vehicle, two powertrains, multi-energy compatibility."
On the intelligence front, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor is collaborating with technology partners such as Huawei to fully equip vehicles with intelligent cockpit and vehicle control systems. At the same time, the company is building deeply integrated strategic partnerships around three core areas—batteries, electric drives, and intelligent cockpits—to create a resilient supply chain that ensures large-scale product launches during the "15th Five-Year Plan" period.
Global Vision: Building Another Liuzhou Motor Overseas
Chinese automotive exports have entered deep waters, making globalization an imperative. Lin Changbo reaffirmed the "Chengfeng Dual-Engine Plan," targeting 155,000 overseas sales by 2030—"building another Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor overseas."
The plan leverages the synergies of the "Chenglong + Fengxing" dual-brand strategy, advancing through four key areas: technology and products, localized operations, channel development, and service systems. In the Southeast Asian market in particular, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor will strengthen its positioning as the group's export base for the region.
Leveraging Guangxi's geographical advantage of being adjacent to ASEAN, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor is accelerating its localized industrial chain layout to lay the foundation for its global ambitions.
Looking Ahead to 2026: A Major Product Year with Highlights Every Month
2026 will be a year of intensive product launches for Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor.
On the passenger vehicle side, the company will launch the Xinghai V6, a pure-electric 6-seat family vehicle featuring flexible space and intelligent configurations; as well as the Lingzhi M3, a new-energy multi-purpose vehicle with a 350-kilometer range, standard dual sliding doors, and a price tag of around RMB 60,000, targeting county and township markets.

In the commercial vehicle sector, the year's flagship product, the Chenglong Yiwei 5, emphasizes "low curb weight, low energy consumption, high safety, high reliability, and high intelligence," addressing logistics users' core needs of "carrying more, running faster, saving money, and saving worry."
"In 2026, we aim to have highlights every month," said Lin Changbo. He added that beyond the product offensive, brand marketing will also be refined and upgraded, with diverse activities to comprehensively enhance product experience and corporate image.
Under Dongfeng Group's "One Dongfeng" framework, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor adheres to a dual-pronged approach in commercial and passenger vehicles, pursues practicality and excellence in technology, and balances domestic and overseas markets. As the "15th Five-Year Plan" begins, Dongfeng Liuzhou Motor is marching toward a new round of development with a clear strategy and solid layout.
