On August 21, the 29th Chengdu International Auto Show officially opened, and the new Hunter on the JAC Pickups booth became a model worth a close look.

Bold Aura + Refined Touch: Reconstructing the Cabin Experience

　　Externally, the new Hunter features optimized details on the front fascia, wheels, and iron roll bar, while maintaining its overall angular, rugged pickup stance. Its wide body and pronounced wheel arches project a sense of power. For traditional pickup enthusiasts, this "familiar toughness" is actually quite important and easy to accept.

　　The interior upgrade is the highlight of the new Hunter, delivering a thrilling sensation the moment you open the door. The interior has undergone a genuine systematic upgrade, from layout design and material choices to detailed craftsmanship, showcasing the quality of a premium SUV.

　　The entire dashboard adopts a new through-type horizontal layout with sharp lines, echoing the exterior's rugged style.

　　The 15.6-inch floating central touchscreen, paired with a 10.25-inch full-LCD instrument cluster, forms the cabin's most striking visual focal point. Its youthful interface supports full-screen display for navigation and 360° panoramic views. Icons and controls are enlarged for better visibility, and crystal-accented buttons offer improved aesthetics, feel, and reduced chance of misoperation during driving.

　　Material upgrades are equally noticeable. The new Hunter's cabin uses 70% soft-touch materials, with door panels and other frequently touched areas wrapped in soft padding, minimizing the harsh plastic feel.

　　An inward-extending recess next to the central screen provides convenient storage for daily items and can even serve as a phone or tablet holder. On trips, the driver can enjoy the thrill of driving while the passenger can relax and watch shows.

　　The air conditioning panel and gear shift area incorporate crystal-like multi-faceted decorative elements. Combined with 256-color ambient lighting, the softened light spreads across the dashboard and door panels, enhancing the cabin's nighttime atmosphere.

　　The gear lever, styled like an aircraft thrust lever and wrapped in leather, offers a solid grip and prominent mechanical feel.

　　The two-tone microfiber-wrapped steering wheel supports four-way adjustment, accommodating drivers of different heights.

　　The seats feature perforated leather upholstery with diamond quilting, thickened padding, and optimized side bolstering. Front seats offer three-stage heating, while the rear seats fold proportionally for flexible space utilization, giving users more DIY options.

　　Additionally, the new Hunter offers two interior color schemes: Black (sporty and composed) and Chestnut Brown (elegant and warm), catering to different aesthetic preferences.

Thousand-Nm Torque + Harden Shield Chassis: Maintaining Rugged Character

　　While the interior has become more refined, the new Hunter hasn't lost its "rugged essence."

　　Based on the H-Power super hybrid architecture and powered by a 2.0TGDI hybrid-specific engine combined with a P2.5+P4 dual-motor system, the new model delivers a system power of 385 kW and system torque of 1,000 N·m. This power output, exceptional in the pickup market, provides ample power reserve for heavy-load starts, steep climbing, and challenging off-road conditions.

　　The new Hunter's chassis retains the tough specifications of the Hunter lineage, featuring a body-on-frame construction with the Harden Shield chassis. The front suspension uses a double-wishbone independent setup, while the rear is a multi-link solid axle, balancing load capacity and ride comfort.

　　The new Hunter is also equipped with an intelligent electric four-wheel-drive system and a rear differential lock, ensuring capable off-road recovery.

　　With a towing capacity of 3.5 tons, the new Hunter can handle towing RVs, outdoor gear, or light equipment.

　　In terms of range, the hybrid system gives the new vehicle a combined range approaching 1,000 kilometers. Its flexible refueling/recharging options reduce concerns about energy replenishment during long-distance overlanding or cross-regional operations.

　　The new Hunter completely preserves the core values of a rugged pickup—body-on-frame construction, differential lock, and towing capability—while further enhancing the hybrid system's power performance, lowering daily operating costs, and improving ride comfort. By redesigning the cabin, the new Hunter raises the bar for comfort and quality in pickups.
