On September 8, the Ningxia Road Network Monitoring and Emergency Response Center, relying on the 12328 transportation service supervision hotline and coordinating with the transportation comprehensive law enforcement brigade, successfully mediated a large-scale freight payment arrears dispute, helping over 50 truck drivers recover more than 2 million yuan in owed freight fees.

Opening up rights protection channels, Ningxia leverages the role of the 12328 hub to solve the challenge of freight payment recovery for truck drivers

On August 14, the 12328 hotline received concentrated complaints from multiple drivers, reporting that a local company had been behind on freight payments for over three months, making it difficult for drivers to afford operational costs such as fuel and vehicle mortgages. The hotline promptly initiated the key livelihood complaint handling process, dispatched the work order to the local law enforcement brigade, and tracked supervision throughout the entire process.

After on-site verification, the dispute stemmed from the company's declining business performance and cash flow difficulties, not intentional evasion. The law enforcement department conducted multiple rounds of two-way mediation, urging the company to raise funds and fulfill its payment obligations on one hand, while comforting the drivers and explaining policies on the other, facilitating both parties to reach a repayment agreement. Currently, all more than 2 million yuan in freight payments have been fully paid out.

In the next step, Ningxia will continue to improve the working mechanism of "hotline acceptance, precise dispatch, law enforcement follow-up, and closed-loop supervision," focusing on the urgent needs of the freight industry to protect the legitimate rights and interests of truck drivers.
