On September 27, 2016 JAC Light Truck the First Intelligent Fuel Saving Challenge—Kangling Around-mountain Tournament was held in Guangzhou and,and a press conference on the next day for Kangling official launch of the second-generation of Kangling K5,X5 as well as all-series products that comply with the state’s Phase-5Ⅴ emission standard was held.

The vehicles used in the race of 2016 JAC Light Truck the First Intelligent Fuel Saving Challenge are Kangling K5, the latest masterpiece from JAC Kangling, which is a high-end light truck targeting on in-city distribution, suburban logistics. The leading position of products of Kangling Light Truck in aspects like power, reliability, fuel saving, comfort and security has been widely acknowledged.

The race course was set on the national highway adjacent to Jiulonghu Resort with a whole mileage of around 60 kilometers, covering various road types including city road, ring road, around-mountain road, city-countryside road etc.. At the end of the race, Pengbo Logistics team won the champion with the result of 5.78L per 100 kilometers and was awarded the title of King of Fuel-saving.   

After the race, the major client Antusheng signed a strategic cooperation agreement concerning 1000 trucks with JAC Kangling and gave a highly positive comment to Kangling K5’s performance in the race.
