  Recently, the Guangzhou Municipal Government of Guangdong Province to consider and adopt the "Guangzhou comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network planning" (referred to as "Planning"), planning "ten to four links a ring two vertical and three horizontal" comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network main skeleton, support Guangzhou rapid connectivity Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, the Yangtze River Delta, Chengdu-Chongqing region, the construction of five international integrated transportation hub, 17 national integrated transportation hub and a number of regional, urban-type hubs.   The Plan proposes to build a world-class international aviation hub and international shipping hub, a world-class railroad hub with multi-directional links, and a resilient and efficient postal and express delivery hub by enhancing the level of global connectivity and radiation capacity of the hub, so as to support Guangzhou to build a comprehensive transportation hub with global influence.

  Guangzhou will promote the Baiyun International Airport Phase III expansion project, accelerate the construction of the Pearl River Delta hub (Guangzhou new) airport, planning and construction of general aviation airports, and gradually improve the planning and construction of flight service stations and other ancillary facilities, to build the city's low altitude flight service network. After the third phase expansion project is put into operation, Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport terminal annual design passenger throughput capacity and cargo and mail throughput capacity will reach 140 million passengers and 6 million tons respectively.

  In terms of railroads, Guangzhou will promote the formation of ten major high-speed rail corridors out of the province, realizing one-hour interconnection with cities in the Greater Bay Area, 1.5-hour interconnection with cities in the province, three-hour interconnection with neighboring provincial capitals, and five- to eight-hour interconnection with major cities in national-level city clusters. By 2035, the annual cargo throughput of Guangzhou port will reach 750 million tons, and the annual container throughput will reach 36 million TEUs.

  Guangzhou will build a multi-network integrated rail network and an outward and inward smooth road network to support the urban spatial structure of "one belt, one axis, three nuclei and four poles"; accelerate the construction of a multi-level rail system with the deep integration of inter-city railroads, urban rail transit express lines and urban rail transit general lines; improve the "Three Rings + Nineteen Rims" centered in Guangzhou and radiating to South China; and improve the "Three Rings + Nineteen Rims" centered in Guangzhou and radiating to South China. It will also improve the "Three Ring + Nineteen Shots" highway and expressway network and the "Forty-four Horizontal and Thirty-four Vertical" municipal trunk road network centered on Guangzhou and radiating to South China.
