On July 7, 2017, NAVECO held an unveiling ceremony for the new-generation IVECO Daily products at the Qiaolin Base which was completed and started operation early this year.  The ceremony opened its grandeous releases within the whole world.

　　The unveiling date—July 7— seems to indicate that, the age of intelligent manufacturing for light-duty commercial vehicle market, represented by new-generation IVECO Daily, will arrive as expected.

Born Strong, New-generation Daily is Released as Expected

　　The year of 2017 holds extraordinary importance for NAVECO. The company attended 2017 Shanghai International Auto Expo with new-generation IVECO product-Daily, new energy vehicles and Power Daily Prestige Version and unleashed a “Blue Storm”.

　　The new-generation IVECO Daily of NAVECO will be the only model among light-duty commercial vehicles that covers the total weight ranges from 3.5 tons to 7 tons. It forms a full-range product matrix together with IVECO Power Daily and IVECO Turbo Daily and remedies the deficiency of NAVECO’s product portfolio within certain market segments and price ranges.

　　It’s worth mentioning that NAVECO, based on the demand of Chinese market, developed for new-generation IVECO Daily two types of bodyworks: M2 model, that is, passenger vehicles with 10 seats and above; and M1 model which carries mainly passengers with less than 10 seats.

　　The new-generation IVECO Daily is generally equipped with China-made FIAT power technology F1 series diesel engine and IVECO 2830/2840 gear box. Among them, F1A engine has a discharge capacity of 2.3 L and conforms to State = 5 * ROMANVemission standard. It adopts variable section turbo technology and is mainly installed on 3.5-4 ton vehicle models; F1C engine has a discharge capacity of 3L and is mainly installed on 4-7 ton models.

　　Based on specialized demands of individual customers, it can be modified into special-purpose vehicles with various functions such as logistic transport, business reception, tourism commuting, special-purpose vehicles and modification.

The Strategic Significance of the New Base in Qiaolin

　　The present annual capacity of Qiaolin Plant is 40,000 vehicles and may be expanded to 100,000 in the future. Their vision is to supply not only for Chinese market but for Southeast Asia, Africa, South America and even the global market.

　　Pierre Lahutte, president of IVECO Global, who came a long way to attend the unveiling event, expressed his high expectations toward Qiaolin Plant. With the capability to produce-in-synchronization European IVECO products comes such a great elevation of NAVECO’s importance within IVECO, that it even assumes the role of overseas CBU producer in IVECO,. He confessed that the new-generation IVECO Daily is a major investment of IVECO in face of the future.

　　NAVECO Qiaolin Base covers a land of 1265 Mus. It has a total project investment of around RMB1.8 billion Yuan. It mainly produces IVECO full-range completely-built vehicles. Its techniques include punching press, welding, coating, general assembly. It also possesses advanced abilities and means in manufacturing power and electrical core assemblies such as engine, gearbox, new-type axle. The construction of intelligent plant is not limited to the application of robot in processing techniques, but extends to information-based automatic material transferring, conveying and the integration of the whole plant by the information system. Based on WCM principle in the world’s manufacturing industry, Qiaolin Plant also operates in accordance with Global CM/HR CNH Industrial Construction High Quality Standard. This standard is one of the highest standards in global manufacturing, aiming at eradicating waste and reducing energy consumption to the minimum.

　　Qiaolin Base, as the new benchmark for China’s modernized plants in manufacturing commercial vehicles, is characterized with “Green and Humanity”. It adopts multiple  energy-saving and environmentally-friendly measures including, applying solar energy PV system in construction, locating energy recuperation systems like rainwater recycle, reuse of processed hot water, and implementing environmentally-friendly measures like DNV waste gas combustion, separation of rainwater and dirt, disposal of rainwater and waste water. The goal of reducing energy consumption by 30% and increasing per capita output by 25% is able to be realized through the construction of a green and humanitarian plant.

　　NAVECO GM Yang Junhu said in his speech, “With the unveiling of new-generation IVECO products, great significance is attached to the completion of NAVECO new plant. It is NAVECO’s long held dream and pursuit to build a world-class plant and step onto the path of intelligent manufacturing and sustainable development. Now we are able to pride ourselves in having stood on such a new starting point.  ”

　　Yang, who is always keeping a low profile, now dares to claim with full confidence that, his company is going to reclaim the top position among the European-style light-duty commercial vehicle brands in Chinese market prior to the 14thFive Year Plan. It’s learned that new-generation Daily will be released at the bottom of this year and meanwhile the second-generation pure electric IVECO model will be released as well before long.
