On April 24, BOSCH and JMC jointly unveiled the "Super Light Truck Solution" at the 2025 Shanghai Auto Show. Focused on three key breakthroughs—reducing overall vehicle energy consumption, lowering system costs, and extending product lifecycle—the solution aims to upgrade light trucks from mere transport tools to integrated operational platforms that are intelligent, green, and comfortable.

　　This solution integrates BOSCH's full range of electrification products, achieving cross-domain collaboration across the powertrain, intelligent chassis, and driver assistance systems. Employing modular and lightweight development concepts, it leverages JMC's technological integration capabilities and ecosystem network.

　　This partnership signifies a shift in the commercial vehicle industry from single-product competition to full-value-chain competition encompassing "hardware architecture + software ecosystem + scenario services." In early 2025, BOSCH restructured its commercial vehicle business to adopt a complete vehicle perspective across areas including driveline, steering, thermal management, and ADAS, achieving cross-domain integration through software-defined vehicles.

　　JMC will focus on triple breakthroughs in functionality, scenarios, and asset value, building a full-scenario electric light truck product matrix and integrated services.

　　Central to the solution is BOSCH's lightweight electric drive, which integrates the motor and reducer, utilizes silicon carbide modules with efficiency exceeding 99%, and incorporates intelligent software for weight estimation and energy regeneration.

　　The applied multi-scenario experience technologies include: a pure electric power steering system using aluminum technology for 30% weight reduction and dynamic torque adjustment; a driver assistance system integrating electronic braking for automatic emergency braking; a thermal management system using propane refrigerant and a heat pump, operational at -20°C; and an electronic braking system pioneering full-speed-range energy regeneration to extend range.

　　BOSCH also showcased software and technology innovations for future vehicle architectures, including urban ADAS solutions, an AI smart cockpit platform, and the BOSCH Zongheng integrated cockpit and driving solution. These highlights underscore the role of technology trends like software, artificial intelligence, cross-domain integration, and electrification in driving the transformation of vehicles towards intelligent mobile terminals.
