Recently, the Hebei Provincial Department of Transportation, the Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology and the Provincial Public Security Department jointly issued a notice that the Langfang section of the Beijing-Shanghai Expressway in Hebei (the Hebei section of the Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway) is officially used to carry out road testing and demonstration applications of intelligent networked vehicles.
The Hebei section of Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway is the first highway test road for intelligent networked vehicles opened in Hebei. Previously, the Beijing and Tianjin sections of Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway have been opened for testing of intelligent networked vehicles, and the opening of the Hebei section means that the entire Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Expressway has been opened for testing and demonstration application of intelligent networked vehicles.
In the face of the demand for intelligent networked vehicle testing, the Hebei Province Department of Industry and Information Technology has taken the lead in setting up an innovation management consortium with the Provincial Department of Transportation and the Provincial Department of Public Security to jointly promote the testing, standard-setting, demonstration application and industrialization of intelligent networked vehicles. On March 22nd, the three departments jointly issued the "Implementing Rules for the Testing and Demonstration Application of Intelligent Networked Vehicles on Roads in Hebei Province", which clarifies the main body of road testing and demonstration application of intelligent networked vehicles on the highways in the province. The implementation rules for road testing and demonstration application of intelligent networked vehicles in Hebei Province were jointly issued by three departments on March 22, defining a series of contents such as the main body of road testing and demonstration application of intelligent networked vehicles on highways in the province, drivers and vehicles, and road testing and demonstration application management.
At the beginning of this year, Tianjin Port to Beijing Majuqiao Logistics Park highway freight self-driving pilot pilot application in Beijing-Tianjin-Tanggu Highway to start the regular road test, marking the first time that China's self-driving trucks realize cross-provincial operation. "The opening of the entire Jingjintang Highway has opened up the whole scenario of logistics including road freight transportation, making the landing of 'door-to-door' self-driving transportation a reality." Wang Chao, a partner of Beijing Mainline Technology Co. Ltd. who participated in the real-vehicle test, said.
Next, Hebei will deeply explore the practical needs of the integration of intelligent networked automobile highway access and business models, and inject new momentum into the promotion of the development of the intelligent networked automobile industry.
