Why do so many pure electric heavy-duty trucks avoid plateau and mountainous regions? Because under the extreme conditions of long, steep slopes combined with heavy loads and high-altitude environments, the inherent weaknesses of traditional central-drive pure electric heavy-duty trucks are magnified—power loss, motor overheating, brake fade on descents, and safety risks due to a high center of gravity.

ZERON, the e-axle expert, has chosen to directly confront these challenges in China's southwestern mountainous regions. On May 10, ZERON launched and delivered two 1061-horsepower pure electric heavy-duty trucks in Yunnan. The two new models are the Xiaoman Haoyunlai Pro, designed for high-frequency heavy-load transport scenarios like bulk materials, aggregates, and steel; and the Jingzhe Leizhenzi, targeting heavy-load transport in mountainous areas and express delivery needs.

In terms of pricing: the Jingzhe has a guide price starting from RMB 538,000, and the Xiaoman starts from RMB 474,000. Combined with a deposit offer of RMB 2,000 usable as RMB 22,000, and free lifetime maintenance for the first owner, these e-axle heavy trucks achieve "price parity" with traditional central-drive models.
1061 Horsepower + Integrated E-Axle: Achieving "Climbing Freedom"
Where does ZERON's confidence to enter the southwestern mountainous regions come from? First, from the generational advantage of its e-axle.
Compared to the traditional "central-drive + multi-stage transmission" setup, ZERON's fully self-developed Jushi 2.0 "four-in-one" integrated e-axle has no lengthy driveline or multi-stage mechanical losses, achieving system efficiency of over 94%. This means greater range on the same charge, more power on the same slope, and greater safety in the same working environment.

Specifically for mountainous operations, climbing ability requires not only ample horsepower but also the underlying synergy of the system.
Both new models feature a dual e-axle, dual-motor design with a total power of 1,061 horsepower. In previous real-world tests, the Jingzhe Leizhenzi easily conquered a 37.1% gradient, started smoothly on a 20% slope under full load, and sustained a 17-kilometer continuous climb without motor overheating or torque degradation. This ability for stable, continuous high-load output is something that "fuel-to-electric" converted trucks cannot achieve.

85% Regeneration Efficiency: Turning Long Descents into "Charging Stations"
Climbing tests burst power, while descending tests energy management.
Thanks to its high-power motors and efficient control strategies, both new ZERON models achieve a vehicle regeneration efficiency of up to 85%, with a maximum regeneration power of 780 kW. On long descents, the drive motors switch to generator mode, converting potential energy into electricity to recharge the battery. This allows the vehicle to control its speed while efficiently replenishing energy, turning a typically energy-consuming section into a range-extending opportunity. This not only significantly reduces energy consumption but also relieves stress on the braking system.

"Glacier Rapid Cooling" Support: Achieving Both Fast Charging and Long Lifespan
How does ZERON balance fast charging, battery life, and system stability? Through mature system-level thermal management.
ZERON's "Glacier Rapid Cooling System" improves cooling performance during charging by 200%, supports 1200A ultra-fast charging, and maintains current without attenuation even in high SOC (State of Charge) ranges. More importantly, the system reduces the total operating time of the battery at high temperatures over its lifecycle by 38.7% and lowers the 4-year degradation rate by 5%. Even at a 2C rate, the cycle life can still reach 4,500 cycles. Fast charging is not a cost that consumes battery life, but a lasting core capability.

Full Under-Slung Layout + Dual-Action Braking: Forging Uncompromising Safety
In mountainous heavy-load transport, profit is the goal, but safety is always the bottom line.

In contrast to the common "fuel-to-electric" conversion practice of mounting batteries behind the cab, ZERON adopts a full under-slung design, integrating the battery packs into the middle of the frame. This significantly lowers the vehicle's center of gravity by 40% and reduces rollover risk by 80%, ensuring the vehicle doesn't push forward under hard braking or lean excessively in curves, effectively mitigating roll and spin risks.
Additionally, ZERON employs "motor + pneumatic" dual-action braking to share mechanical pressure, reducing brake fade risk and extending the life of mechanical friction pads to 80,000-120,000 kilometers. By making safety and stability standard features, ZERON ensures that sustained operational profits in mountainous regions are truly achievable.
It's important to emphasize: not all e-axle heavy trucks are ZERON. The exceptional integration depth, mature thermal management system, and the vast amount of real-world extreme test data behind it collectively form ZERON's generational technological moat.

At the launch event, ZERON signed underwriting agreements for 1,200 units with dealers, finalized contracts for 500 units with customers, and completed deliveries of 200 vehicles. This is the most direct market recognition: users are willing to buy, use, and operate these trucks long-term in mountainous areas.
With its competitive pricing, ZERON has delivered a heavy-load solution for mountainous regions that offers higher efficiency, greater power, enhanced safety and stability, and superior lifecycle returns, once again raising the industry bar. For this "e-axle expert," having conquered the plateau and mountainous regions, other scenarios are simply a natural extension of its technical capabilities. ZERON, as a pioneer, is leading the way into a new era of integrated e-axle pure electric heavy-duty trucks.
