The 23rd CAEXPO: DFAC Liuzhou Motor Chenglong Showcases Hydrogen and Intelligent Driving Products, Plans Localized Production in ASEAN

On September 17, the 23rd China-ASEAN Expo opened at the Nanning International Convention and Exhibition Center. As a leading intelligent automobile manufacturing enterprise in Guangxi, DFAC Liuzhou Motor brought three cutting-edge NEW ENERGY commercial vehicles to the exhibition, showcasing hard-core technological achievements in hydrogen, battery electric, and intelligent driving, and delivering zero-carbon smart logistics overall solutions to the ASEAN market. At the exhibition site, DFAC Liuzhou Motor will simultaneously complete the strategic cooperation signing for a Vietnam KD plant, and the Chenglong brand will officially launch a new layout for localized manufacturing in ASEAN.

Relying on the strategic plan for overseas market breakthroughs in the "15th Five-Year" period, DFAC Liuzhou Motor targets ASEAN market opportunities and continues to focus efforts on key countries such as Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines, and Indonesia, vigorously advancing complete vehicle exports, KD plant layout, and NEW ENERGY product deployment. In 2026, DFAC Liuzhou Motor will continue to deeply cultivate ASEAN left-hand drive and right-hand drive markets, simultaneously introduce battery electric, hydrogen, and other NEW ENERGY models, continuously improve its channel network, accelerate localization capacity building, and lay a solid foundation for subsequent high-quality development in the ASEAN market.
During the exhibition, DFAC Liuzhou Motor will formally sign a strategic cooperation agreement with its Vietnamese partner. The two parties plan to jointly invest in and build a KD (knock-down assembly) plant in Vietnam, with planned annual production capacity and annual sales volume of 1,500 units, and are expected to achieve an annual output value of RMB 210 million. The implementation of this project marks that the Chenglong brand has moved from complete vehicle exports to a new stage of localized deep cultivation in the ASEAN market, further strengthening the brand influence and industrial synergy of Chinese commercial vehicles in Vietnam and the ASEAN region.

At this exhibition, DFAC Liuzhou Motor's booth focused on "green, intelligent, efficient" and highlighted three star products for different application scenarios.
The Chenglong H7 hydrogen fuel cell tractor is a flagship hydrogen heavy truck built by DFAC Liuzhou Motor. The vehicle is equipped with a high-power permanent magnet synchronous motor, matched with a high-power hydrogen fuel cell, liquid-cooled power battery, and large-capacity hydrogen storage cylinders, with a maximum comprehensive range of over 700 kilometers, effectively solving the range pain point of hydrogen heavy trucks. In 2025, DFAC Liuzhou Motor's hydrogen fuel cell vehicle deliveries exceeded 1,800 units, with market share firmly ranking first in the industry, and it has achieved large-scale operation in multiple scenarios across the country.

The Chenglong Yiwei 5 Super Energy Edition battery electric tractor, built on the Dongfeng Trucks T1 NEW ENERGY platform, achieves comprehensive upgrading of five core capabilities: "super power, super lightweight, ultra-low power consumption, super fast charging, and super safety." It brings truck drivers real value in cost reduction and efficiency improvement, wealth creation, and income increase, becoming a reliable transport partner for users to seize market competitive advantages.

As the L4 "ceiling of intelligent driving perception hardware for light trucks," the Chenglong Yiwei 2 intelligent driving battery electric light truck builds a 360° all-domain environmental perception system, equipped with NVIDIA automotive-grade chips, with total computing power reaching 508 TOPS, providing strong computing power support for high-level intelligent driving, enabling intelligent assisted driving in complex urban distribution scenarios, helping customers reduce operating costs, and unlocking a new operation model for urban distribution logistics.

In addition, the site also exhibited two "future cards": China's first split-type flying car based on a freight platform, the Chenglong Kunpeng Flying Car, and the L4 autonomous logistics vehicle, the Chenglong Chitu RoboVAN. The former achieves fully automated high-precision docking of "aircraft + vehicle," meeting the precise positioning requirements of flying cars for ground driving, aerial flight, and air-ground docking; the latter is equipped with a domain-centralized electronic and electrical architecture, combined with self-developed AI chassis domain control algorithms, carrying infinite possibilities for future urban services.


In the passenger vehicle section, DFAC Forthing also exhibited two star products: the Xinghai V9 pop-top camper edition and the Xinghai V6 right-hand drive version specially created for the ASEAN market.

On the first day of the exhibition, Zhang Zhuang, Secretary of the CPC Liuzhou Municipal Committee, visited the DFAC Liuzhou Motor booth to inspect and guide, and listened to the company's exhibition work report. Liu Xiaoping, Party Secretary of DFAC Liuzhou Motor, accompanied and explained, giving a detailed introduction to the core technologies of various models, market operation results, and ASEAN-oriented product layout, with emphasis on the company's R&D investment in NEW ENERGY models, domestic large-scale operation, and overseas market expansion.
