MAN's new generation pure electric light truck, the MAN CiTe, officially made its debut at the 67th Hanover International Commercial Vehicle Show (IAA). This futuristic electric truck embodies MAN's fresh insights into intelligent connectivity and electric trucks. This product, resembling a concept truck, will officially meet transport operators before 2021. At this Hannover International Commercial Vehicle Exhibition (IAA), ZF showcased a new solution for trucks—a radar-based steering assist system that can monitor around the vehicle comprehensively, ensuring safer urban driving. This system solves the problem of rearview mirror blind spots. Once other road users approach or may enter the blind spot, the system alerts the driver. This function will later be further applied to side-view assist systems, combined with camera image functions to improve monitoring accuracy. Through intelligent algorithms and connected sensors, the system can also actively trigger the steering system and, when necessary, control the vehicle for emergency braking. This lays an important foundation for achieving autonomous driving functions in trucks.
