With the arrival of the new Sprinter, a series of optional safety and assistance systems are debuting on Mercedes-Benz Vans for the first time. Among these is the radar-based distance control system DISTRONIC. The driver only needs to set the desired speed, and the system automatically maintains a sufficient safe distance from the vehicle ahead. If the distance decreases, the vehicle speed will be reduced, with up to 50% of maximum braking force.
