Preview of the 2026 Hannover International Commercial Vehicle Show: Many domestic vehicle companies, new energy start-ups, and energy supporting enterprises have confirmed their participation. Leading brands such as Jiefang, Foton, BYD, and SANY Heavy Truck all appear, while Shandong Heavy Industry Group participates with a multi-brand lineup. Companies like Huawei Digital Energy will bring advanced energy replenishment solutions, including megawatt-level liquid-cooled ultra-fast charging and integrated solar, storage, and charging solutions.
This exhibition will witness the upgrade and international expansion of China's commercial vehicle industry, moving toward a new ecological stage of integrated vehicle, energy replenishment, and operations and maintenance. IAA China Day will also build an efficient platform for Sino-European industrial dialogue, promoting deep exchanges in technology and markets between China and Europe. At that time, Transport People Network will provide detailed and rich reports on site. Please stay tuned!
With craftsmanship that goes the distance, FAW Jiefang will soon make its debut at the Hannover Motor Show, delivering a global high-end logistics solution.
Now we come to the FAW Jiefang booth, located at Hall 24, Booth B10. At IAA 2026, under the theme "Engineering the Next Horizon (Craftsmanship Reaches Far)," FAW Jiefang has ingeniously turned its exhibition area into a "Time Corridor."
At the start of the corridor is parked a vintage vehicle full of memories of an era—the Jiefang CA10, which rolled off the line in 1956. Its classic green paintwork and retro rivets, together with the three-dimensional lettering "China's First Automobile," make it very eye-catching. At the other end of the corridor is an all-new future-oriented concept car, creating a dialogue across time and space.
In the product exhibition area, the most eye-catching display is the CORTRON CS series, launched with great fanfare for the European market, including the CS600, CS600 XXL fuel-powered tractor units and the CS925 battery-electric tractor unit. On the other side of the booth, nine self-developed core powertrain domain assemblies, including the GD300 and ER540, are also showcased.
Overall, FAW Jiefang not only showcases a profound historical heritage, but also demonstrates the technological strength of a Chinese commercial vehicle brand going global.
Now we come to the booth of FAW Jiefang, located at Hall 24, Booth B10. At IAA 2026, FAW Jiefang, with the theme "Engineering the Next Horizon (Craftsmanship to the Far Horizon)", creatively turned its exhibition area into a "Time Corridor".
At the starting point of the corridor is parked an old vehicle full of memories of its era—the Jiefang CA10 that rolled off the line in 1956. Its classic green paint and retro rivets, together with the three-dimensional lettering "China's First Automobile", are very eye-catching. At the other end of the corridor, there is a brand-new concept car facing the future, forming a dialogue across time and space.
In the product exhibition area, the most eye-catching is the CORTRON CS series heavily launched for the European market, including CS600, CS600 XXL fuel-powered tractors, and CS925 pure electric tractor. On the other side of the booth, 9 self-developed core power domain assemblies such as GD300 and ER540 are also displayed.
Overall, FAW Jiefang not only demonstrates its profound historical heritage, but also highlights the technological strength of Chinese commercial vehicle brands going global.
Now we have arrived at the Dongfeng Motor booth, located at Hall 12, C20. At this edition of IAA 2026, Dongfeng's exhibition theme is "With DONGFENG, Drive HYDROGEN (Ride Dongfeng, Go with Hydrogen)," and it will focus its display on hydrogen energy technology and applications.
Dongfeng has brought three hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles this time, including two hydrogen heavy trucks and one hydrogen light truck, respectively targeting application scenarios such as long-haul trunk heavy-load transport, resource transportation, and urban cold-chain distribution.
This time, it also showcased the T1 commercial vehicle new energy platform, which adopts a modular architecture and is compatible with multiple technology routes such as pure hydrogen, hydrogen-electric hybrid, and pure electric, further demonstrating Dongfeng's diversified layout in the field of new energy commercial vehicles.
At the Dongfeng booth, this 4.5-tonne hydrogen fuel light truck comes from Dongfeng Light Vehicle. Its range exceeds 500 kilometers, and it is mainly aimed at transportation scenarios such as urban cold-chain distribution.
This hydrogen fuel light truck uses hydrogen energy as its power source. While meeting urban distribution needs, it also further expands the technical route for new-energy light trucks. Its debut at IAA 2026 also demonstrates Dongfeng Light Vehicle's layout in the field of hydrogen-powered light commercial vehicles.
Now we have arrived at the DeepWay booth, located at Booth B12 in Hall 24. DeepWay focuses on RoboTruck intelligent heavy trucks and has brought two left-hand-drive DeepWay Xingchen electric tractor units developed for the European market.
The most eye-catching exhibit is the DeepWay Xingchen 6×4 tractor with a “bullet-nose” design. Its streamlined front is clearly different from conventional heavy trucks, and the overall styling is highly futuristic. The 4×2 version is equipped with a 513 kWh battery, while the 6×4 version is equipped with a 600 kWh battery. Both models have been adaptively developed for European road regulations and real-world operating conditions.
In addition to complete vehicles, the booth also displays core components independently developed by DeepWay, such as batteries and electric drive systems, as well as intelligent road freight solutions created for the global market, comprehensively presenting DeepWay’s overall layout from intelligent electric heavy trucks to core components and smart transportation.
Now we are at the Sinotruk booth, located at Hall 19/20, Booth A10. At IAA 2026, Shandong Heavy Industry Group is exhibiting jointly with Sinotruk, Weichai Power, and Hande Axle, under the theme "Powering All, Delivering One" (All-Domain Empowerment, Integrated Delivery), bringing five SITRAK complete vehicles, as well as multiple self-developed core components and energy replenishment solutions.
On display are the SITRAK 4×2 battery electric tractor, SITRAK 8×4 battery electric dump truck, 6×2 battery electric cargo truck, 4×2 battery electric light truck, and a biodiesel-compatible fuel tractor.
The supporting exhibition area showcases self-developed electric drive axles, CTB special-shaped battery packs, an intelligent cockpit, and ultra-fast charging stacks, as well as an integrated wind-solar-storage-charging-swapping station solution, comprehensively presenting Sinotruk's overall layout from complete vehicles and core components to the energy replenishment ecosystem.
We are now at the Weichai Power booth, located at A10 in Hall 19/20, forming the Shandong Heavy Industry joint exhibition area together with Sinotruk and Hande Axle.
On media day, Weichai held the global premiere of three new products here: NG4.0 gas power, WPH15DI hydrogen internal combustion engine hybrid powertrain, and the EM300 new-generation heavy truck underfloor battery.
The entire booth has 16 exhibits in total, ranging from high-efficiency diesel and gas to hydrogen internal combustion engines and pure electric battery, motor, and electronic control systems, basically covering the main powertrain technology routes for commercial vehicles today. It also includes a WEF300 hydrogen fuel cell engine, which has already been paired with 49-tonne heavy trucks for commercial operation.
From traditional power to new energy, and from a single product to multiple technology routes, what Weichai is showcasing at Hannover this time is also the technological reserves and layout of Chinese powertrain enterprises for the global market.
